My Steinberg USB interface has a Loopback feature I can enable, but I haven't really figured out how that might or if that will help at all. If necessary I will see if it solves the problem but am trying to avoid an ornate set up, and am also considering CPU Load budget issues. What I have not tried is this Voicemeeter - Virtual Audio Mixer which I have heard mentioned. Selecting just the audio interface as a source of course just renders Dry Audio into stream labs which is not desired. I have tried the Asio 4 All driver which delivers better latency but I have no way to route it to stream labs. I have tried Voxengo Recorder, but I think it being 32bit may have been an issue with it not providing any results. This is an ideal situation howevever i can not get the total latency to go any less than 60ms which is just enough to make it quite disorienting hearing my voice and guitar trail behind me like a ghost. Method 2 - Using FL Studio Asio driver gets perfect sounding audio coming out of the Streamlabs mixer in the desktop audio area. An Analog solution that gets the results im looking for but is messy and worst of all generates a very mechanical sounding hum. Method 1 - route from headphones out of my Audio Interface to the line in of my computer using an aux cord. To have the audio from my FL studio master go into my Stream Labs mixer output, bringing guitar and voice into the Twitch stream.
Here's what I would like to have happen and where my trouble shooting has got me. But its easier than it sounds.Thanks for taking the time to read and respond. so to get it in reaper i still had to swtich to directsound or something.
However, when i did that i still couldn't record in repaer because of asio4all - but i could record f.inst in audaucity directly from youtube etc. Who knows why they keep it disabled and hidden like that. If you still can't find it, thats because SOME, like a DELL pc i had last year it was not so simple - stereomix was not only invisible by default but i needed to go into the registry and add some code to even get it (tutorials is online for it). If you can't find it theres tutorials for it online. Some pc's you need to go into audio in windows and start it up - simple. On my new hp stereomix is already going on, no need to mess with it whatsoever. If you need to mess with stereomix or not depends on the factory setup on your pc. All i do is to switch from asio4all to directsound in audio preferences and i can immidiatly record directly into reaper from youtube etc.
